Bert vaughn[edit]
Bert is founder and managing partner animators, inc. Over six feet tall and with the anatomy of an ex-athlete, burt is an unscrupulous boss who tends to sign animators for just about any job as long as the cost is acceptable. . He and anita often argue over bert's selection of potential customers and work for anita. As for cerulean sins, bert's status was downgraded to business manager, and most of the animators became full partners. In previous books, anita often thought about how she could get her business and customers out of bert's control and try to hire animators for jobs that they considered unethical or very dangerous.

Charles montgomery[edit]
Charles is the next animator working for animators, inc.Because he is bulky and strongly built, anita asked him about at least one case (for example, the laughing corpse) to function as an undisguised threat to deflect unwanted attention in threatening places. Charles, however, must be remembered, does not have a predisposition to violence and will not be suitable for maintaining a threat otherwise indicated by its size and defensive behavior. Jamison clarke[edit]
Jamison is an animator with animators, inc. He is a lean african american with curly red hair and green eyes who always clashes with anita over anita's part-time job as a vampire executioner. Unlike anita, jamison considers vampires to be few words visitors to our site and never approves of executing them without trial. Appearances: guilty pleasures, the laughing corpse.
John burke[ edit]
At six feet tall, with movie star good looks and a white streak in his dark hair, john burke is a powerful animator, vondane priest and vampire hunter. He originally worked in the future orleans, louisiana, but moved to st. Louis as soon as his brother peter (who could also raise zombies) was killed in the catalan capital. Burke also stated that there was "a misunderstanding" among the new orleans police and among him about burke's involvement in the series of murders. After moving to st. Louis, he and anita dated briefly, who took a job at animators, inc. He's willing to raise at least four zombies in one night.

Lawrence kirkland[edit]
Five foot four, red-haired larry kirkland reminds anita howdy doody. Larry first joined animators, inc. As a 20-year-old co-op student and is eager to have anita teach him how to be a vampire hunter. Anita is very protective of larry and has no interest in getting him killed. Larry is very strong, probably a spontaneous necromancer. Later married tammy reynolds of rpit. They have a child, a girl named angel. He currently remains a fully licensed vampire executioner and the first to have a dual agency with federal marshals and the fbi. Kiss the dead, dead ice and was anita's mentor, but mostly retired. Manny was present when he and anita encountered valentine's nest, prior to the events of guilty pleasures. Before marrying and converting to christianity, manny was a vagabond priest who was associated with dominga salvador. At the request of his wife, anita no longer goes hunting with manny, because he has a family to provide for.

Dolph[edit]
In "guilty pleasures" rudolf "dolph" storr - sergeant and head of rpit. Six foot eight inches tall and built like a wrestler. Usually he is always “accurate and neatly cut, with dark hair cut short, tie and jacket neatly tied, now in the city of atrocity at four o'clock in the morning. Back when dolph was such an excellent cop that anita wondered what he did to become assigned to rpit, a low-status position in the police force. In the early books, dolph was anita's friend and mentor. In later books, dolph and anita's relationship has become strained, in part because anita no longer believes that the various vampires and werewolves are monsters, but dolph still believes, and this provokes distrust of anita's increasingly close relationship with the various vampire and lycanthrope communities in st. -Louis. Louis. Their relationship was also strained by dolph's personal situation; his son darrin is married to a vampire (and may become one), and dolph and his wife lucille mourn the prospect of a life without grandchildren. (Dolph's youngest son, paul, will not be able to have children.)
In later books in the series, dolph's personal problems and conflict with anita seem to come to a head.This is due to the fact that dolph's son is facing a vampire, and dolph is afraid that the man will decide to join the church of eternal life in order to stay with her. Dolph treats anita roughly at the crime scene, only attempts to lock jason schuyler in a secure facility when he is a werewolf, and is temporarily off duty. Although dolph is back at work today, he and anita are careful about their relationship.

Tammy reynolds[edit]
Christian witch, married to larry kirkland, has a daughter here called angel. She is the first detective witch and she chose to work with rpit. Being a witch, she knows more about detailed spells or rituals than anita does. Anita knows the basic ideas behind things, she says she took several general visits in college. Tammy is five-foot-ten, about the same age as anita, but whoever else is, with an innocence just like larry, who is slowly wearing down with police work. She and anita don't see eye to eye under all circumstances.

Zerbrowski[ edit]
Another comrade and member of the ghost squad, sgt. Zebrowski is the stereotypical disheveled, intelligent yet highly competent detective and anita's work friend. He speaks wittily about anita's personal being and is laid in a jovial lecher, making a few inappropriate comments, however never thinking about any of them. Anita told him that he had very weak psychic powers; however, it is practically zero. His car is what anita calls "a zone of toxic trash," and his styling is often unstylish and out of control. Anita, like so many others, is surprised that he forced cathy to marry him. Appearances: most books.

Aubrey[edit]
A century old (500-550), but not a master, aubrey was a very powerful lieutenant of nikolaos. Aubrey was partially insane as a result of the punishments provided by nikolaos. On her orders, he blackmailed anita by driving her into an ecstasy ("rolling deep") and threatening to kill anita's friend katherine. Finally, anita killed aubrey with a shotgun with a silver charge.
Usher[edit]
Usher is the master vampire of belle mort's line and someone jean -claude and anita blake. Asher had previously been part of the troires with jean-claude and asher's human servant julianne, until the church burned julianne on the grill as a witch also attempted to "burn the devil" out of asher with holy water in a manner similar to chinese water torture. Holy water left asher with severe scars, and for many years he blamed jean-claude for saving him too late and that his use of it failed to save julian.
Anita had able to see beyond the terrible scars and loved him, overcoming asher's hatred for jean-claude (although asher still carries heavy emotional baggage). Asher is now jean-claude's second-in-command. His sexual vampire power is charm: people caught in his gaze are fascinated by him and cannot take their eyes off him; belle morte said that the people he rides completely become "love-drug fools" and follow the spectacle everywhere; its bite causes an orgasm, and its victim may have memories of an orgasm hours or days later. Asher acquired a hyena as an animal to order from the dance of death.
Bartolome[edit]
A former heir to great wealth, bartolome is of the belle morte bloodline and a teenage vampire at the age of 12 or thirteen. At the conclusion of the cerulean sins, he decided to stay behind to allow the damage he and valentine had done to gregory and stephen thanks to musette to be repaired. He is almost always admirably adapted, given the tendency of underage vampires to go insane over time. He is fluent in spanish and english. He came to st. Louis with musetta just out of nothing to do.

Byron[edit]
<> an english vampire turned at xv but due to muscle buildup can pass for 18. Anita uses him to feed ardeur times as he chooses males over females. Even though he considers himself bisexual. He became rescued by jean-claude after his master was killed by the harlequin in addition to being abandoned by belle morte. Byron uses endearing titles such as "duckling" and "lover" to anita.

Buzz[edit]
"Vampire buzz" is a muscular vampire bouncer from guilty pleasures.Some twenty years after death, buzz does not have the inhuman mannerisms of older vampires. For the most part, he guards the door in a t-shirt, regardless of the climate, likes to bare his fangs and flirt with the girls he meets. He does bodybuilding to fuel his superhuman strength.

Damian[edit]</>
Damian is a green-eyed, red-haired viking vampire. Through a series of unfortunate features, and chs, he turned out to be anita's vampire servant (similar to the role of a vampire's human servant) also in general, a lover, well, as anita's vampire servant, damian became a member of anita's second triumvirate with nathaniel.
Damiana created she who should not be named (later revealed to be morvoren/nemhain). Sand is characterized by a tendency to have a calming effect on anita, as shown in the sins of cerulean, because the one who created it taught him all that her will is very important. His aesthetic has changed a bit in incubus dreams, enough to make the world "stunningly" beautiful. Approximately 1000 year old damian will never be a master vampire, but due to anita and nathaniel's extra power, he can physically walk in daylight, though this is enough to drive him horribly, driven by fear. This is due to the fact that perrin, one of his fellow vikings who was also turned into a vampire, caught fire from walking in the sun, in which case he and the aforementioned viking were in the "care" of morvoren. As anita works to improve his second triumvirate power base, damian shifts from needing to obey anita if given a direct command, to greater free will power and being able to disobey her. Anita does not like it when someone is forced to obey, all this was a key factor due to which for several books she kept her distance from damian compared to other lovers.
Damian lives on anita's roof and functions in danse macabre. In the most recent books, damian lives in the circus of the damned and gives his own room. He went a little crazy when anita left st. Louis for six months without her magic to control him or make his heart beat.
Appearances: dance of death, burnt offerings, blue moon, narcissus in chains, cerulean sins, incubus dreams, danse macabre, bullet crimson death he became a vampire in an unexplained situation and now owns a bar called "dead dave". Despite being mad at the police for kicking stretch out of the police force, dave sells and gives information to anita to help us investigate.

Gretchen [edit]
Jean-claude made gretchen a vampire almost 200 years ago. Pale, with wavy blond hair falling almost to her waist, gretchen is hopelessly in love with jean-claude in every sense of the word and mistakenly sees anita as the main obstacle to overcome in the pursuit of personal love. Although the porn bunny hasn't used that name in 100 years, gretchen (a diminutive of margaret, as in faust) was originally named gretel (a diminutive of greta), and jean-claude still occasionally calls her by that name. A master vampire, she has strong intellectual properties, silver resistance, and the ability to fly.
In crazy cafe, gretchen attacks anita, or jean-claude has the site imprisoned as punishment. Into a coffin entwined with crosses and chains for 3 years. As a result of being carried away with energy - and activity, partly due to vampire politics, and partly as a result of anita's stubbornness in her work, she turns into a skeleton (depriving her of the animating power as her creator). In narcissus in chains, anita will know that gretchen is still imprisoned and forces jean-claude to release her. However, gretchen still hates anita for getting between her and jean-claude, and in sins of cerulean, anita is emphatically able to say that gretchen's confinement made her even "madder" than she was before. In blood noir; gretchen goes live and answers reporters' questions about false rumors about anita and jean-claude's relationship. She tries to make the audience believe that anita https://yourgirl.org/tags/Veronica/ left jean-claude for jason and is a highly immoral person. (Gretchen used bad words on tv regarding anita's manners) gretchen ends up looking "crazy" on tv with her blunt comments. Gretchens' comments, while false, made jean-claude look like a "weak master" to the other vampires. Anita and jason had to do some 'fixing the damage' because of gretchen's comments.

Hannah[ edit]
Hannah is willy mccoy's vampire lover. Willy calls her angel fangs.Hanna is also possessed by the traveler when the vampire council members are hidden in moscow. Hamilton erroneously called her "sweetie" in "harlequin"; she later wrote on her blog that candy was hannah's original name during the first draft of burnt offerings and that a similar mistake would be corrected in the paperback edition.

Jean-claude[edit]
Master of the city of st. Louis, jean-claude is anita blake's lover. It is believed that he is from 400 to 600 years old, the exact age is not indicated at all, with the exception of danse macabre ch. 24, kiss of the dead, ch. 7, sorrow, ch. 3, 38.39, dead ice ch. 9, 38, crimson death, ch. 19:33, where it says six hundred. He is part of a triumvirate consisting of anita blake and ulfric st. Louis werewolves, richard zeeman. He is what would once be called an incubus. It carries the ardeur in it, which is like sexual vampirism. He relayed this to anita.
Liv[edit]
A large nordic vampire with bodybuilder muscles who swore conscious allegiance to jean-claude, in case he turned into master of the city of st. Louis. . Jealous of jean-claude's affection for anita, liv later betrays him and his followers to the traveler, who promised her the ability to kill anita, or at least dominate her. Anita suffered only minor damage, but punished liv with final death for her betrayal and for her role in padma's mistreatment of several local werewolves. Namely, anita promised sylvie (second in staff under richard) that liv would be killed for sexually abusing sylvie when sylvie refused to "give" the pack to padmé when richard didn't exist in town.
